June 14, 200917 yr I'd be disappointed if it was someone so far off the beaten path as Maggie or Nikki. I guess I could see Sully. Same here, I was thinking it was Beth, but that obviously isn't the case, so my money is on Sully.
June 15, 200917 yr Why does the girl implicate the sheriff? I had thought him at first....but this now makes me think it couldn't be. What was the purpose of the guy dying in the first scene under the boat--there has to be some reason this was included. IMO
July 11, 200917 yr SOMEWHAT SPOILERS FOLLOW - I'VE SEEN THE LAST TWO EPISODES Downloaded the last two episodes (they aired on Thursday in other countries) and just finished watching them. The series had promise, but lost its way big time, done in by what I consider to be terrible, TERRIBLE, writing. I found the reveal to be wholly unsatisfying. The best part IMO was the very, very ending, like the last two minutes. I'm interested in the thoughts of those who are still watching this after tomorrow.
July 11, 200917 yr I haven't seen the last 2 episodes, but have heard the ending, and you're right....Huge letdown! This series had so much promise, and they ended it in the worst way I could possible think of.
July 12, 200917 yr Author I had Henry as one of my suspects from the beginning because he would have been the most shocking. I agree that the last two episodes were kind of weak compared to how good the rest of the series was.
July 12, 200917 yr I had Henry as one of my suspects from the beginning because he would have been the most shocking. I agree that the last two episodes were kind of weak compared to how good the rest of the series was. The only 2 people the entire show I knew it wouldn't be were Henry and Jimmy because that would be way too cliche and unoriginal. Of course, leave it the garbage writers of these shows to ruin what was an otherwise great show.
July 12, 200917 yr What's most unfortunate is that Harper's Island's failure ratings-wise and probably as a result of this ending, critically, blunts what had been an ultimate goal of having several of these types of series in the coming years. It was thought that if this were successful, it could be like an anthology. Making Henry the killer was stupid. Like, mega-stupid.
