I figured Male would not make it out of the week undefeated. Out of all the undefeated teams they definitely have the hardest week with Eastern, Ballard and Henry Clay. Down to five teams.

Well central you were right. Boone played Covington Catholic tonight and gave the colonels their first loss in the Doc Morris tournament. Which is a wooden bat tourney. Maile hit a 415 ft home run with a wooden bat. No wonder he's a major league prospect, but that wasn't enough for the colonels. 2 good pitchers for Boone was all they needed to come out with an 8-6 victory.

It was shortened but they did go to Charleston, SC later in the week and I heard they lost 2 of 3. If they don't report those scores, they could get in some trouble as it is clearly stated that whenever a team takes the field against another team, at a date after that of the start of the season, then it MUST be counted towards their record. There are no scrimmages allowed past that date.

Boone County is a quality team, so the win does not surprise me. I was just bragging on Covington Catholic in another thread, stating they should be ranked even higher than the #11 ranking the coaches gave them. I'm not sure this loss will drop than much, but it's highly doubtful they'll be able to move up a whole lot either.
