Ashland Blazer 2009/2010

Featured Replies

What does Ashland Blazer need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Ashland will be very good next year. Connor and Dietrich are solid, and Gambill can shoot it.

I believe this Asland team could be the best yet. Connor and Hanners will be the Twin Towers of the 16th, Leaver will keep improving, Dietrich has major game and been overlooked for some reason, Gambill can shoot lights out and Farris will be one of the best athletes in the region.

They also have some good youth on the way and probably the best coaching staff in the region with Bradley, Wittich, Owen and Cooke.

Ashland should be the hands down pre-season favorite to win the 16th region IMO.

Hand over the reins to Dale White. The man is a coaching genius. Nothing against Bill Bradley, he has done a great job, but Dale White was born to coach.

Really? Ok......

Really? Ok......

They may not win it but they do have the most talent coming back and have the most up and coming talent in the region.

Really? Ok...! (East is gonna be pretty good, and Rowan has 5 of their top 8 back....)

IMO it is a toss-up between Rowan, Ashland, and East for the 16th next year. Summer development will go a long way in determining the winners in March.

I agree. Rowan County should be the runaway favorite. If Rowan County doesn't win it next year then their coach needs to hang it up. It would be one of the worst coaching jobs in 16th region history if the Lady Vikings don't win.

I can see Rowan as being one of the favorites, but a clear cut runaway favorite? Not seeing that. Especially after losing that one really good player, Riddle.

Well said.:thumb: I agree.

IMO there is no way any of the top 3 (East, Ashland, or Rowan) will be runaway favorites in the region next year. I see these games a being very close. All 3 teams lost excellent players to graduation, but also have some very good veteran players returning. This is why I believe that development of the younger players over the summer will be a huge factor in who ultiately wins it all in March.

But they will really miss a couple of those girls more than some people think.
