Final in 8 innings.

Brad Cooper had the game tying hit in the top of the 7th to send it to extras.

Keith Egan hit a two run bomb in the top of the 8th. Paul Ritter nailed it down in the bottom of the inning. Good game.

Big win for Holy Cross tonight. They executed and thats what they will have to do this year. Great job by Tyler Kincaid to come in and hold the game to 1 run and then keeping it tied in the bottom of the 7th to send it to extras.

Koors for Dixie pitched very well tonight only giving up 1 run in 5 innings of work.

Koors (DH) and Roenker (HC) started the game on the mound. Both pitched very well. It was a great game that someone had to win and Holy Cross was able to pull it out in the seventh and eighth. Congrats to Egan on the big blast to win it. Bohn for Dixie also had a homerun in the game when he went opposite field off the net in the fifth. Sexton pitched the sixth and seventh for Dixie with Chamberlain picking up the loss in the eighth. Not sure of the kid's name but #4 for Holy Cross pitched well in relief with #9 closing it out. Dixie is now 3-2 on the year.

Sorry I didn't get to meet ya tonight cardsnation as I was preoccupied with field work leading up to game time and then the game itself.

Thank you. It was still a little soft and wet in spots but from the shape it was in when I first got there at 1230 to how it was for the game was just light and day.

I'll guess it was to left center.

Indeed it was.

More to dead center than it was to the gap.
