Owen County 57 Grant County 56 (OT)

Featured Replies

Actually, Owen was 16 of 34 from the line for 47.1%.

I had a substitute statistician doing Grant's stats, but he had them as 17 of 23 (73.9%)

Grant's offense was nowhere to be found until finally getting going midway through the fourth. Where was Cody Kinmon? Injured/sick?

Gamble did not have a FG in the second half, missing all three of his three point attempts in the 2H.

Colligan had just 2 at the half and a rebound or two...finished with 11 points and (unofficially) 7 rebounds.

Unofficially, we had Shelton with four blocks, to go with 10 rebounds.

Marston won it at the line with two FTs with 10 seconds left in OT.

Scoring:

Owen County 7 15 11 14 10 - 57

Grant County 8 8 7 24 9 - 56

Owen - Gamble 16, Marston 14, Colligan 11, Jordan Shelton 5, Traylor 5, Lewis 4, Williams 2

Grant - Thompson 19, Livingood 9, Caleb Kinmon 8, Wartman 8, Loomis 5, Davis 4

He hasn't played since Oldham County. Let's just say he wasn't sick or hurt. :ohbrother:

Thought Wartman ended with 11. I thought when Grant realized they were about to get beat they just started playing ball. It seemed like they were afraid to play and make a mistake instead of just playing basketball.

Owens free throw shooting has been terrible in the 5 or 6 games I have watched them. I bet Grant wishes they had 16 attempts from the line for the game. (not sure what they had but I bet it was not as many as Owen made). Good luck to Owen in the rest of the tournament! Good luck to Grant in future seasons!

Per KHSAA Owen Co shot 63.9% from the foul line for the regular season. Nothing to brag about but they are certainly much bettter than the 47% they shot in this game. Just one of those nights.

I had a substitute statistician doing Grant's numbers; he's generally pretty good, but could have given some of Wartman's numbers to someone else.

I'm quite certain about Owen's stats.
