I'm not real thrilled with the teams not being able to get inside the arena to practice. There will be an adjustment in shooting into a basket where there isn't much of a backdrop. An hour shoot around, I don't care when it is would help.

 

Big Deal. All teams are held to the same rule. It's not like one team is getting left out or one team gets to practice. Good shooters will adjust.

I agree, the real problem may be avoiding the elephant dung left behind from the circus, it might be slippery out there.

The advantage will go to the girls on each team that play AAU ball in the off sesaon. Their adjustment to the floor size and lack of back drop will be much quicker than girls who have never been on "the big floor".

Great Photo its just sad that you can not get the student support for girls basketball when there is not an incentive.

I would think so.

From experience at NKU games it takes FOREVER to get a ticket, as they each have to be printed out of the computer. It won't be like a high school gym where you hand them your money and walk in. I would advise anyone who can to get your tickets ahead of time.

I seem to recognized some of the faces on the court, as well some in the stands.

 

They were loud and they were proud, those NDA Seniors of 07!

It is like anything else, as the team advances everyone jumps on the band wagon, and perhaps that is how it is meant to be. All in all it is a great memory!

It is official, any thoughts

 

My thoughts: NDA by at least 7. Too much senior leadership and players who have been there with a lot of experience beyond the high school level. Jackson, Delph, Ludwig, Walker and Albanese will be too much for Birds. Highlands seems to be searching for the level that they reached in mid-season. NDA was struggling a couple of weeks ago but appears that they are where they want to be again. I have thought all year that NDA gets back to Diddle. I am sticking to it. With that said, it is definitely the most even field in recent memory and I am looking forward to taking in the games.

:popcorn: If it wasn't for daughter with SK I would not miss this one. SK has played both and I would "coin toss" this one. HHS has had two rough jolts to end the season with SK and NCC.

I look for Highlands to bring their best defensive game this time around and end up with the victory. If they don't bring their best defense, it will go the other way.

Not really, Jackson didn't start due to a 3 week layoff with bronken finger. She came straight from the doctor and suited up, no practice before her release. Wore a giant splint and she may have been 50% at best. I expect a close game but you never know.

Don't forget, I believe this was one of Jackson's first games back following her hand injury; may have been first? I have seen each team 3-4 times and just believe that NDA has more in terms of personnel in the first 5. As far as depth goes, the Highlands bench may be a little deeper which may be benefit for the bigger floor but I will stick with the prediction. It will be a good one for sure.

Hey I like Jackson, but it's kind of hard to believe she was only 50% at best against Highlands when she scored 7 on January 6th when just 4 days later on January 10th she scored 20 against Boone. Either Highlands played pretty good defense on her or she's got one heck of a rehabilitation therapist.

 

Either way I'm glad she's healthy and will be ready to go on Tuesday night.
