What date does the 12th Region Boys tourney start?

Boys starts Wednesday March 4th at Lincoln Co. High School.

Obviously, that means Lincoln County will get either East Jessamine, Casey County or the loser of Wayne/McCreary.

 

Can't wait to see the matchups.

Lincoln County will look to become the first team to win three straight 12th Region titles since Monticello accomplished the trifecta in 1958, 1959, and 1960. And unless I'm mistaken, no other team had done it before Monticello.

I think Southwestern and McCreary are both playing well, even though the Warriors won't make it. I also think Danville will put up a fight in the tournament.

 

Ideally, for McCreary, this would be the perfect bracket:

 

McCreary vs. East

Rockcastle vs. Danville

 

Lincoln vs. Wayne

West vs. Casey

Can't happen that way. Rockcastle and Casey can't meet until the final, just as Lincoln and Danville can't.

The 12th is wide open. One interesting note, Lincoln County is undfeated against the other 7 teams this year. That's hard to believe.

 

That doesn't mean a lot, since some of those match-ups were early in the year. This is going to be an interesting tourney

Are tickets for these games sold at the door? I know Monticello pre-sold but that was due to the small gym they have. Just wondering
