American Conservatism? Sadly it doesn't exist as a true conservative knows it to be. To me, it simply means governing in a conservative manner while keeping the constitution (as written) in tact, promoting life, liberty, capitalism and personal responsibility. It means a government that protects my country and keeps it's nose out of my business. It means my government doesn't take from (tax) me and give it to someone they think needs it more than I do. It means my government don't choose who succeeds and fails in the banking/auto business. It means my government lets communities decide how to run their schools. It means my government allows me to worship God (the same God this country was founded on) how I choose. It means much more than I can post on this thread.

 

Government today is just so far from what a true conservative envisions it to be. Maybe that's why people like Ann & Rush have such a hard time coming across. You must agree that over the last few weeks this country has reverted farther from "conservatism" than in any other period. It's scary to us and we know it's going to be a tough fight.

 

Maybe Rush & Ann would have a better chance by promoting conservatism more and cutting democrats less. It's hard though when we have a democrat president that just crammed a trillion dollar porkulus package down our throats and today having a Fiscal Responsibility Summit. What a joke.

 

That "what a joke" comment will offend most democrats and liberals. To a conservative it is most definitely a JOKE! Whether it revives the economy or not.

Coulter is an evil wench because of her vitrolic rhetoric. She could make her points without the nast words and phrases she uses, the deliberate derogatory adjectives and such. What makes here an evil wench and a shrew isn't what she believes, but the way she presents them.

She's not doing anything that the liberals don't do on a daily basis, in the media, Hollywood and on and on and on....

Most Conservatives are expected to act like an adult and do so. She's just willing to stoop to their level and I find it rather entertaining. Doesn't mean I love the woman, I just enjoy watching liberals get treated the way they treat people.
