Thought his dad played at Berea, but I could be wrong.

On the whole we usually don't get in foul trouble, there has been a few games we have, and that is usually on the road, different region and refs. Robert Hatton had 4 fouls called on him last night, 3 were blocking fouls. Coach and the anouncers thought he clearly had position in all 3 calls. Again , different region and refs, you just have to learn to adjust.

Speaking as someone who was sitting at midcourt, and who didn't have a dog in this fight, I thought the game was very well called. There were a few close calls, but I thought the officials made the right call every time. The GRC fans in particular seemed to be a bit irritated with some of the calls, but it seems the visiting fans are generally more likely to think they are being hosed than the home fans are. Ballard's athleticism is going to cause a lot of attempted charges to become blocking fouls... giving credit where credit is due, Ballard makes it difficult for a team to take charges.

Best of luck to both teams...this game was truly a lot of fun to watch!

Didn't say we were hosed or there were alot of bad calls. Just stated the 3 blocking calls on Hatton and answering a question if we usually had foul trouble. I hate that I had to miss this game, but our Radio announcers do a great job.:thumb:

I understand, Gold Sunrise! Just thought I'd interject a comment regarding the officiating, since I might be the only person posting on this thread who really wasn't rooting for either team, just there as an interested observer.

At the speed these two play the game, it's quite a challenge to put on the striped shirt...
