Who will win the 13th Region?

Featured Replies

And who will come out of each District?

49th Clay Co. and ???

50th Corbin and South

51st Knox Central and Barbourville

52nd Harlan Co. and ???

Corbin and Knox Central in finals

winner Corbin

50th Corbin and South

49th will be Clay and North Laurel

52nd will be Middlesboro and the winner of Bell Co and Harlan Co.

I think the 50th district games could be interesting. With W'burg playing better and a Whitley Co. team that plays very hard every play.

Corbin vs W'burg

South L. vs Whitley Co.

13th region

If you went on talent I would go with Corbin, but you can not count out Knox, South L., Clay, and M'boro.

I believe there are three teams with a legitimate shot to win the region with another having an outside chance.

1. Corbin

2. Clay Co.

3. South Laurel

4. Knox Central

49th- Overall the weakiest district in the 13th Region. Clay is the dominant team in that district, you could shake up OBI,Jackson,Red Bird, and North Laurel they are all about equal. Clay and North will come out of that district

50th-The bottom two teams Whitley and Williamsburg are much more competitive this year, but should not be a match for South and Corbin. With South coming out of that district as the champion.

51st-Overall the most balenced, competitve district. Two veteran coaches, Phipps and Strange will square off in the opening round. With Pineville coming out on top. Knox beat Lynn Camp

52nd-Middlesboro and Bell County, with Bell County coming out of that district as champions

Overall Rankings To Win The 13th

1.South Laurel

2.Corbin

3.Knox Central

4.Middlesboro

5.Clay County

6.Bell County

7.Pineville

8.North Laurel

I would take a wild guess:

49th: Clay County winner, North Laurel runner up

50th: Corbin winner, South Laurel runner up

51st: Knox Central winner, Barbourville runner up

52nd: Middlesboro winner, Harlan County runner up

1. Corbin

2. Clay County

3. South Laurel

4. Knox Central

5. Middlesboro

6. North Laurel

7. Harlan County

8. Barbourville

It would not surprise me to see Bell, Whitley or Pineville in place of one of the teams listed above as well.

I like these also. But I believe that Corbin will win the region.

Corbin will win it all.

1. Corbin

2. South Laurel

3. Clay Co

4. Knox

5. Middlesboro

I think Corbin will go to Rupp, but I would not be shocked if South or Clay Co pulled the upset

North Laurel is way better than OBI, Jackson and winless Red Bird. They are not about equal.

Just what I was thinking as well, I would guess those three have less than a dozen wins between all three put together. I feel bad for Coach Wilson at Red Bird a very good coach with the weakest group of high school boys I've ever seen. I see their district is at OBI how will they get more than 400 or 500 fans in that place?
