SouthernSportsFan Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 For the past two years, McCreary Central has boasted a gaudy record but some could say their schedule was a little "padded." This season, McCreary started a new season with a boat-load of new, tough teams and a very young team. Pike County Central (2) Lexington Catholic Dyer County, TN (#1 in AA in TN) Trinity Jeffersontown Anderson County Paul Dunbar Montgomery County Woodford County And their 12th region schedule. This season, their record is far from perfect. But will this tougher schedule help these Raiders down the stretch? Hopefully.
Jim Schue Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 They're not going to go and get "upset" in the district by some team that already beat them twice in the regular season, are they?
Raider97 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I think the Raiders will benefit from the tougher schedule. Watching them over the last two weeks they really seem to be playing with a lot more intensity and toughness. I think they will be ready to make sure last year isn't repeated! Go get'em Raiders!:ylsuper:
cellking Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I really think Coach Jones has the Raiders playing well. It seems that Watts is on a roll. Go Raiders.
gchs_uk9 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 This season, McCreary started a new season with a boat-load of new, tough teams and a very young team. Pike County Central (2) I believe you mean Perry County Central, top challenger in the 14th Region, correct? They played at the Catholic tournament and then again in January.

OLDSCHOOL PATS Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Southwestern in the first round of the district wont be a easy task.
HouseofPain Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Southwestern in the first round of the district wont be a easy task. In my experience you should play every team as if they were the toughest opponent on your schedule. I am sure the Raiders have no intensions of over-looking S.W. who is playing excellent B-ball at this time. Go Get'em Raiders....pack your lunch boys and go to work!

oldballcoach Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Mccreary will lose in the first round of the District. Southwestern is a better team 1 thru 7. Mccreary has the best player in Watts that is no doubt but he cant win it by himself.

If need be, Watts can take the game over.

SouthernSportsFan Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 He is good but not that good. Whatever you say. :thumb:
candyman Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Raiders come off a big win last night at Dunbar, and a Win at Montgomery County. Two good wins.
candyman Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) He is good but not that good. If 38 points and 11 rebounds againest J-Town isnt taking over (even though it was a loss to a state contender) than I don't know what you consider taking over.:ohbrother: Edited February 20, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
