WILDMAN Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 The anchor man says it great at the end. "That's just great." Truly a fine storybook ending of a high school career for a remarkable young man. Hats off to Tony Pietrowski for giving this young man a chance to live a dream.
4chs Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 A very good write up from The Times Tribunehttp://www.thetimestribune.com/sports/local_story_047101410.html?keyword=topstory
Redhound0934 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Travis is what high school athletics is all about!!! We should all take a lesson from someone who is the epitome of what a high school athlete should be regardless of whether he's played in 1 game or 1000 games. Hats off to an example to us all.
bigbluefan02 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Having the chance to meet Travis on a couple of occasions I have to say that Redhound say it best. You can do nothing but root for this guy no matter what it is he does. He likes to see his Redhounds win more than anyone. He wears his heart on his sleeve. It was a great article in the Times Tribune.
nannook Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Great story! Good luck, hope Corbin can make it to state, love to see this young man on the floor at Rupp. Edited February 16, 2009 by mcpapa R13
sportsnuts Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I think it's great that a young man can hang in there and get the chance to live his dream. True we all want to when, but seeing a story like this should make everyone stop and realize that this is what high school sports should really be about. Here is a young man that has exceeded more than expected and sounds like his passion for basketball help him achieve that. Great story thanks.
mcpapa Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Thanks for the story; I am glad the young man's dedication was rewarded.:thumb: Nice to get some good news; there wasn't a whole bunch of it in the "other stories" referenced after the article: Pipe Bomb Explodes In Mailbox Pharmacist Makes Changes After BurglaryVolunteers Help With Clean UpSoldiers Return Home Boil Water AdvisoryNon-Consumption AdvisoryForest Service: Ohio Man Dies Sfter 165-foot FallPharmacy Robbery Arrest
