Corbin 102 Lynn Camp 70

Featured Replies

Wonder why they just didn't just schedule each other home and away, I know they played once this year don't remember were. Their games are always an intense atmosphere!

Conference only requires that they play once a year - so that's all you'll see. LC at Corbin next year.

LC had a couple injuries and a couple sick players who come off the bench. Hopefully they will be back Tuesday night against Harlan.

I was talking about Corbin and Clay playing home and away instead of playing FCI or whoever, if they both needed a game badly. I didn't know LC was in any conference, I may be wrong.

LC is a member of the SEKC. Corbin and Clay don't want to play more than once a year. It doesn't make sense to play a regional oppnent more than one time unless you meet in a tournament or are in the same district.

Are you sure LC is part of the SEKC? I believe they left it a long time ago, maybe they got back in. Why does it not make sense to not play a region oppnent more than once? I don't see how that would hurt anything, makes sense if both teams needed another game on the schedule.

I think it had more to do with Clay Co. already playing at Corbin earlier in the season and Corbin needing a home game for Senior Night. It would have been kinda hard to recognize the Seniors on the road in Manchester.

Is it true that LC is only the 3rd team to put 70 or more on CHS?

That's impressive for both teams.

LC's Offense and Corbin's Defense!

Lynn Camp will be a solid team again next season. I think they return several good players. I like the Wagner kid and Mobley as well. Bargo is a big house down on the blocks. Siler is athletic and he can shoot. Coach Pennington is producing a good team each and every year. He is to be commended for returning the series along with Coach Pietrowski. The locals enjoy this game and the kids enjoy competing as well. I liked the idea of the Cup as well to add some luster to the event. Good luck to both teams and may they meet again in the regional at Bell County in a few weeks.

Where are the districts played at this year for Corbin's and LC's, Bubba?

Williamsburg and Barbourville.

As for scoring 70 or more against Corbin, it doesn't amount to much when you get beat by 30-plus points. I'm a big Anthony Pennington fan, and he's done a good job at the Camp. Best coach that's been there since I've been covering them. The Wildcats are fun to watch, especially on offense, but to go that extra step, they must become more discilipined on both sides of the ball.

The return of Mobley has made them a better team.

C'mon, Les! At least give us a LITTLE to be positive with from this game! There was not much to be positive about. Don't pile on!!!

Mobley is a player, and a much better one when he is 100%, but I don't think he is there yet from the knee injury from football. I'll agree with the discipline statement.

Thanks for the information.

If you lose by 32 I don't really see getting 70 againest Corbin D a real postive alot of those points came in the 4th vs subs. Mobley has the potential to be a very good player.

I know, Breeze. Just looking for a silver lining in a crappy cloud.

I'll give it up. Bad game all around.

It's like HS football when a team scores a lot of points in the 4th against a better team when the freshmen come out.

You're just trying to make it look better than it really was.

Mobley IS a good player now.

Not 100% on the Cats being a member of the SEKC - I'll get back to you after I get confirmation.

If you knew that was a high level of probablility that you could meet a regional opponent in the tournament for a third time would you want to play? Its hard enough to be the Tigers or anyone else in the region for that matter twice much less three times.

It does make sense in terms of the number of games needed, but not in making the best possible situation for a successful post-season run.

I'm almost 100% certain that LC is in the SEKC in football again.

I also know that the MS plays in a conference in football again, also.

I'm thinking that they are back in in basketball, too.
