The district can decide their own system as long as it is laid down beforehand. If for some bizzare reason, this wasnt attended to, then the state suggestions would take precedent.

Since we are throwing out all of these % even though Morgan will have played 3 more games than East and 4 more than West. Here is some numbers taking the teams these above % were from and looking at those teams records to check strength of schedule. Which by this formula Morgan is trying to use and who could blame them because it keeps them from playing Elliott in opening round shows really that whoever played the weaker schedule is going to get the higher seed. Instead of going head to head to head which you would have to say is the fairest. Anyway here is the numbers:

 

West teams (of the 9-4 record only being considered for the seeding) have a combined record of 153-114 .573%

East teams (9-5) have a combined record of 160-136 .540%

Morgan teams (12-5) have a combined record of 189-163 .537%

You can see that Morgan has played an easier schedule.

So is it down to a coin flip btween Morgan County and East Carter for 3 and 4?

You have been whining about this for a week. Morgan did not write these bi-laws. The 62nd district committee made these bi laws, Morgan is just wanting it done fair, if they were dirty they would have canceled the Bath game 100%

You have to admit if you are setting seeds the fairest way is using the results of the games between the teams fighting for those positions. Not by who plays the most games or the weakest schedule. It may not can be changed this you but don't you think this should be put in place for future districts.

No one has a easy schedule, that's not fair for you to determine if Morgan has had an easier schedule and it shouldn't matter, by the way Sissonville, WV, was a good team. You can't go by records to determine how good a team is, how many times have you seen some team at the state tournament that had more losses than wins, seems like ever year.

I don't know what methods could be used, but those are the 62nd district formula not Morgans, it dosen't matter if you or I like it.

When I played 61st District used the blind draw method just as they do now, I don't like the blind draw method. It's not fair if the 2 best team plays each other first round.

I think KHSAA should make the same bylaws for all the districts. Maybe it should come down to a draw if you get a tie.

You have been posting on here making it look like that Morgan has done something illegal, If it was reversed you know that Brandon and Jermey would want it done the same way, Morgan could have rescheduled the Bath game for next week but they didn't that shows class. I wonder what most Coaches would have done.

 

Morgan has been looking for a 2 sided coin to, I don't think they need it because the bylaws states that it will be "Heads Morgan and Tails Morgan".
