I've been colecting for some time and have most glasses since 1970... I have several extras I would like to sell.. When I get a chance I will PM you the list 3wishes...

Curriosity got the better of me so I inventoried my collection:

1970-1

1974-2 (100th Derby)

1990-1

1994-1

1995-2

1996-1

1997-1

1998-1

1999-1

2000-2

2001-2

2002-2

2003-5

2004-3

2005-4

2006-1

2007-1

2008-7

Other then the 3 from the 70's all were purchased by me at the Downs on Derby or Oaks Day.

I've been lucky enough to have grandstand seats since 1997 and really lucky to be in a 3rd floor box 3 times since then. My best count is that I've been to 25 Derbys (13 infield and 12 on the good side of the track). I've already paid for my tickets for May 3, 2009.

We have a 1971, 1975, 1977, and from about '86 till now.....trying to fill out backwards as we speak.

I don't collect any of the "julep cups" that they set out year after year with all the stats and whatever on them, but I do have a special set of "real" julep cups. The sterling silver ones engraved with special memories, such as birthdays and wedding dates and graduation dates. These cups mean the world to me. They represent my Kentucky heredity. I love them and can't wait to pass them down and even add to the collection.

^ that's really cool.....maybe one day you'll get the $1,000 one at the Downs...

Doubt it, they don't match my set.:thumb:

I have all of them from 1968 and I don't know why I have them.
