Does anyone know how the district 8 draw came out today? Did they vote to draw or seed next year?

Christian County drew Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell drew UHA.

 

However, the bigger news is the fact they voted 3-1 to seed for the first time, meaning home and homes for each team starting next year.

They have seeded before. They did for a couple years earlier this decade. Like 2003-2005 or so, I believe.

I would like for the state to mandate all districts go to seeding.

Because the ability to draw (and the All A Classic) is the only thing keeping the small schools in lock-step with the one-class tournament. They know they can't win the big one, but for many little schools just making it to the region is the biggest success they can have. Being able to draw allows them to possibly make it to the region, thus having that success. Being required to seed would guarantee the small schools a four-seed, which means a quick elimination in the district tournament every season.
