Billy Clyde Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 All games at Harrison County. There was only one draw so both the boys and girls brackets are the same. Feb. 23 Harrison County Vs. Pendleton County Feb. 24 Deming Vs. Nicholas County Feb. 26 Girls Finals Feb. 27 Boys Finals
gold sunrise Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I hate to see Pendleton and Harrison draw each other and one have to miss the regional tourney.
Billy Clyde Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 I hate to see Pendleton and Harrison draw each other and one have to miss the regional tourney. Why Deming or Nicholas Co. not good enough for the regional tourney? Looks like Harrison Co. and Deming SHOULD be the two to make it out of the 38th. If you look at Cantrells ratings that would be the two top teams.

I just feel that Pendleton and Harrison are the top two teams in that district and now one will be sitting at home.
Billy Clyde Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 IMO Pendleton is 3rd in the District. But we will find out tomorrow night were they stack. I think Deming should win the matchup. I may have to eat my words after the game. But if you want to see the top two teams out of this district then it would be Harrison Co. and Deming.

Billy Clyde Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) Thought this would be interesting. Here is how the 38th district teams faired against common opponents. Hilltopper2005 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 It's almost automatic that Harrison and Pendleton draw each other isn't it?
Milfordflash Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I think its dumb that they don't have a separate draw for the girls.
ladiesbballcoach Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I think its dumb that they don't have a separate draw for the girls. Why? Now the school's fans, band, cheerleaders, student body has to be out one school night instead of the possibility of two. That also lowers the expenses of getting a bus for two nights on the cheerleaders and band of which the athletic department has to pay for both. It also lowers the cost for fans as they only have to pay for one admission instead of two.
team america 54 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I don't feel there is another team in the district that will bring a larger crowd to the regional than Deming. I think the boys have had a great season, and I know everyone in Robertson Co. will be backing them in person or listening by the radio.

Also, as is the case this year, the girls have had a good season and with a separate draw maybe would not have got HC for the first game. They have beaten both teams in Deming and Nicholas.
