Maxpreps Rankings 1/30

Featured Replies

How can Maxpreps put Holmes in the 2nd spot in the state and the national rankings have them at 20th in the country? Things that make you go Hmmmmm....

Maxpreps actually has Scott Co. number 32 in the nation and Holmes number 65. A big part of the reason is that it is a CPU rated site and they have Scott Co. schedule rated 3 points higher than Holmes schedule. I don't think that it pays much attention to the fact that Holmes beat SC on a nuetral court pretty convincingly earlier this season.

Where is that garbage can smiley when you need it?

Shelby Valley not in the 25 is a joke.

I was speaking of the prepsnation poll which was mention in another thread. I guess it's fair to say there is not an exact science to all this poll stuff...

It is clear that MaxPreps is very much a schedule weighted poll. Look at Boone Co. at #8. They got there because of their tough schedule.
