AP rankings are just as good (the top 10). Still don't understand how Corbin is just ninth and Warren Central is so low. Like I've said before, rankings mean nothing.

Actually, I would say that Corbin should be happy to be ninth. The Redhounds' schedule isn't exceptionally tough, and in my mind, the 13-point loss to Scott nearly offsets the home-court win over Lexington Catholic.

The 12-point win over Lexington Christian isn't bad, either, but teams ranked lower than Corbin have beaten LCA by bigger margins.

As for Warren Central ... having seen the Dragons, I think they could easily warrant a higher ranking on their talent and potential, but the two losses to Christian County (one when the Colonels were missing four football players) hurts their cause. That and my belief that western Kentucky is way down this year.

Knowing Tim Riley's penchant for bringing a team along late in the season, it wouldn't surprise me if Warren Central moves up before the season is over. At the moment, though, the jury is still out on them.

I think Shelby Valley should be up from #12 to somewhere between the 5-8 spots. Corbin well deserves to be somewhere in those 5-8 spots also. Might be a little bias toward the mountain teams. One thing for sure they are both Top 10 teams with nice clubs. Seventh has 6 or 7 teams in the Top 20, but only one will make the Top 16 come March 18th. Almost the same dilema in the 11th. There may only be 8 (at most with no upsets and there will probably be one or two upsets) Top 20 teams in the final 16 come

March 18th??
