There seem to be very few options available to play this game that was postponed:confused:last night. Corbin has a game scheduled for Friday and South has one Saturday. The only options I see are on Monday Feb 2nd(which would give Corbin 4 games in a week), Thursday Feb 5th or Sat Feb 7th, that is if they do not conflict with something else scheduled at South Laurel's gym.

I would think since South cancelled and Corbin was willing to travel yesterday it would be a forfeit for the Cards. Not sure what the seeding policy is, but years ago when Wburg refused to play the other district teams they were forced to take the bottom seed. I am sure this game will be played sooner than any of the dates you mentioned 4CHS. My guess is this week.

I don't think they will play. Being 1st or 2nd in the district is not that big of a deal and besides if SL was to knock off Corbin it would be a tie and I think Corbin wins the tie. I don't see a big difference in playing Whitley or Williamsburg in the district tourney. I think SL will take their chances in the district tourney.

Yeah, South would probably want to take their chances in the tournament with Whitley considering that they won the first game by six and the last game by two. Since the wins were so convincing I think it is obvious that they will walk over who ever they face in the first round of the district. As for the tie; if South were to win the final matchup with Corbin, it will force a tie. Even though Corbin has won 2 of the 3 matchups, the regular season district games are all that matter. A coin flip decides the 1st seed and the 2nd seed.

You guys are going overboard with this. It's a district game and IT will be played. They will be deciding today when the game will be played. You never know, they might play tomorrow (Thursday). I'm pretty sure South girls isn't at home Thursday and neither team is scheduled to play, so that could be an option.

If it is weather related, and it was, no team has to forfeit. If a date can not be agreed on by both teams the game is not played. I am sure that South will work out a date to play not only because of the seeding but also for the gate. This game not being played last night because of weather is nothing like the Williamsburg situation a few years ago.

Game will be tomorrow night (Thurs. Jan 29) @ 6:30 pm.

 

I am very disappointed with SL's decision not to play last night. This makes a very difficult Thurs. and Fri. for Corbin while SL has Fri. off and then plays Saturday.
