Yes, this is not to bash any kids and/or student athletes.

 

This is strictly about the possiblity of Jones being out at the end of the season. Let's leave the players and their families out of this.

I think everyone wants to win, and I think even if they disliked Jones or whomever, they would still want the Raiders to win. That's not what we're saying. I, more than anyone, would like to see them be successful year in and year out with Jones or whomever else coaches them. I have nothing against Jones, and like him personally, but these are just the "rumors" I am hearing...

 

 

I didn't say you or anyone else didn't want the Raiders to win, I am sure it is because people want the Raiders to win that they start saying negative things about how the kids play or the coaches coach. Even repeating a rumor like this one can have negative effects on any program. I have known Coach Jones for atleast 20 years and have nothing against him personally and even though we don't see eye to eye on many issues if he were to ask me to help with something that would help the basketball team or athletic program be more successful I would be more than happy to help out. In the same respect I am sure there are other people who don't see eye to eye with me but I think everyone can say that in the 20+ years I have coached in McCreary County I have always worked hard for the benifit of our athlete's. All I was saying with my post is negative statements only produce negativity ( and starting or spreading rumors about players or coaches is negative) and positive statements produce positivity. We all need to stay united on the fact that our basketball players are full of athletic ability and our coaching staff is more than capable of having them prepared and ready to win in the district tournament and make a run in the regional tournament.
