Lady Royals lead by 2 at the half. Sounds like this team is coming along very well. HHS was 14-1 coming in. I know we didn't get the win, but watch out for Mason Co in March.

Definately a good showing by Mason Cty and another good win by Highlands. Again, Highlands just seems to wear down their opponents and win the 4th quarter.

Lady Royals lose to Highlands 65-57 in Kenton Co. Classic

The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Highlands Lady Bluebirds 65-57 today in the opening round of the Kenton County Classic. Mason County led 28-26 at the half. Highlands is the top team in the 9th Region. The Lady Royals committed 32 turnovers. The Lady Bluebirds had 22 offensive rebounds. Mason County junior Keller Menke scored a game-high 26 points. Beth Queen added 11 points. The Lady Royals will play again Friday at 8:15 p.m. against the loser of tomorrow night's game between Conner and Louisville Ballard.

Menke with another solid performance, shes going to be a hand full for anyone during her senior year. Good showing by the young Lady Royals. I think their making improvements and growing as a team. Could give someone fits come March.

Better and better each time out are the Lady Royals. Congrats to Highlands on the win. What a job Coach Butcher is doing with these lady royals ! Highlands is the top ranked team in No. Ky. with the resume to back it up. To play with them says alot to how much the lady royals have improved since the start of the season. Come district time it's pretty much goona be throw a ball on the floor and see who wants it more. Awesome job Coach B.

I like the way Highlands play "D", they do wear you down with the presssure. They look like they are one of the solid favorites to be in Bowling Green. Excellent coaching and some good players that execute.
