Play football in football season and basketball in basketball season. :argue:

 

I have no problem with this and I am a basketball player through and through. The kids have a choice to make. They do not have to play. But the kids that feel they have a better chance of playing college football will play in this game. And in regards to your statement, when does one sport end and the other begin. They overlap!

I love the 1-3-1 but I don't understand coming out in it when you know that Mont. county was going to shoot the three at the end of the game. They hit two big shots and got right back into the game. It took two possesions for Clark co to switch back to man to man. I think that the 1-3-1 is effective when you have someone like Jalen Daniels up top. He has a big wingspan and can cover a lot of ground. As aggresive as Patrick Bailey is, he just can't cover that much territory. Coach Humprey does a good job but I really question a few of the decisions made in this game. The Cards still got a big win in a tough road game.

 

I agree to the point that it doesnt work as well with Bailey in the game but with Daniels in that is probably the best defense the cards can run at this time!

I liked it with Daniels in also. It will keep guards from penetrating and provides for a lot of traps. It does leave the corners open though. I wouldn't chance it against a team like Elliot county. The Cards played a great game I am happy for the win against a rival team. Things are getting down to the wire now and the cardinals are looking good.

The 1-3-1 would shut Elliot down with GRCs big players. Stenzel on top, middle three as Zollo, Rogers, and Hatton, and Williams running the baseline. And to mix things up switch Stenzel and Wiliams occasionaly. Williams harassing the passer out front and Stenzels jumping ability on the back line.
