Final.

This establishes J-Town right now as the 7th Region favorite. Seems J-Town and Cosby took over in the 3d quarter of the game. Eastern was the last unbeaten HS Boy's team in the state of KY until last night. The Girl's side still has unbeatens Iroquois and Rowan County.

Stats:

Jeffersontown 80 Eastern 65 Eastern 18 15 17 18 65 Jeffersontown 9 28 29 14 80 Eastern (14-1) -- Dowe 21, Marks 10, Gains 6, Abell 11, Thomas 13, Clements 4. Jeffersontown (12-1) -- Dorsey 10, Porter 1, Dillard 1, M.Jackson 12, Cosby 22, Kennedy 21, Wilson 6, Reves 7.

Statement game for J'town in the 7th.

I think this answers the questions as to whether or not Eastern is top 5.

Nice win for J'town.

I don't know if they are a top 5 team or not, but based on 1 game in January I don't see why anyone would write them off. It would be like writing Holmes off after the loss to BS or Scott Co. after the loss to Holmes.

I'm not writing them off...trust me, I know Eastern is a legit top 10 team. I just think a game like this shows they aren't quite top 5 material at this point.

Great win for J-Town over a tough Eastern team.
