The Late-Niners ('09) Thread: New Year...Old Friends

Yeah, I had one like that this semester, but I still continued to go. Now, that doesn't mean I always paid attention, I made sure I had a Soduku puzzle with me for several class periods.

I had one class I would hardly ever pay attention in. We would do group assignments every now and again and my group members also never paid attention. We were always left trying to figure out what we were supposed to do

I know the purpose for group assignments, but I really don't care for them at all. I would much rather just do my work on my own when it comes to some of the stuff I have had to do.

P.S. Sproles is tough.

I don't like doing group assignments at all, because it seems like one or two end up doing all the work and the rest slack and get the grade the other two worked for.

I hate them too. Just seems like they are only doing it so they don't have to grade as much

Yeah and I was the one usually doing the work. :irked::lol:

Yup, that is exactly how I feel about it. I know many professors will say that group assignments are important because when you get into the workforce you will need to work in groups all the time. However, I think one factor is different. In the real world, people lose their job who slack off lol.

Yeah True.

Any of you all seen the movie "The Happening" by M. Night Shamalayan? I watched it for the first time today. Pretty different, as I expected because of who made it, but I actually enjoyed the message behind it.

lol exactly. I have on one occasion gone to the teacher after the project was completed and told them that so and so did not do their share of work and basically was along for the ride to get the grade and I believe the teacher asked the rest of the group for input and when so and so was confronted, he admitted he kinda slacked, so she lowered his grade a bit. He got on my bad side though, lol. For the most part, I just do the work and take the grade and hope karma will come along for the rest.

Is it the one with Liv Tyler? If so, yes I saw it, and other than the ending I enjoyed it.
