Championship in the Lloyd Invitational tonight out at Lloyd, 8:00.

Holmes comes in 10-1 after a tough win against Conner.

Henderson Co. comes in 11-1 after a win over Bullitt East.

Thoughts?

Right now, I don't think anyone is quite on Holmes' level, but this is a superb Henderson County team. A lot of people were saying the Holmes - Seneca game was the "championship", but they might think otherwise after they see Henderson County... Very fast, aggressive, athletic...fun team to watch.

After talking to several people who have seen both play, I think Holmes wins this one by 15+. HC lacks height which has hurt any team against Holmes because of their long, athletic players. I'd expect Pittman to get back on track and dominate in this game, having such a huge advantage down low.

A really good team like Holmes rarely plays two sub-par games in a row. That should spell trouble for the Colonels. I'll take the Doggies by 16.

Holmes dominates HC.
