Just would like to hear some thoughts on this. Not trying to start any drama or anything, but just wondering. Covington Scott beat Corbin #13 team in the state, and a good win over South Laurel. The new rankings came out on the 27th, and Corbin is still in the top 20, but Scott no where. Does anyone know how they do the top 20 rankings?

Must be completely subjective. I don't think Scott got Corbin's best effort, but beating the competition they did in the Hoopin' Up certainly qualifies them to get some recognition.

Whether or not it was Corbin's best the fact is they were beat on a neutral court and yet they get no love for it. I'm not saying they HAVE to be in the top 25 but they should very close if not in it. The Scott players and staff do need to get a little recognition.

Hey I have been trying to tell everyone all year...this is the team to watch in the 10th. The one team I hope the Cards don't draw or get in the same bracket in the regional tourney.

Scott does have a nice , well coached ball team.

Scott does deserve some recognition. Are they a top 25 in the state? Probably not, but they have played some good basketball.

 

Scott has some tough games coming up against Boone County & Ryle, and if Scott can beat both of these teams, they will surely get the recognition.

They also play GRC on Jan 3rd.

Your right. Scott & GRC have played each other in some great regional games a few yrs back. This will be a good test for both teams.

If you look at the schedule Scott has a brutal stretch of games after the Calvary game. Calvary is athletic enough to cause Scott some problems. Scott obviously played very well to win the Hoopin it Up tourney. Should be interesting to watch over the next couple of weeks with games against Boone Co, Ryle and GRC.
