Lloyd Memorial Invitational

I have tried to find out what is going on thru the enquirer and they only report the down state tournaments and not the Lloyd Tourney. The Coach at Lloyd has done a tremendous job trying to put something nice together without any help from the Enquirer. JD

I agree. They had no coverage this morning in the Enquirer. The Post online was the only place I could find ANY stories or coverage about the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised not to see any coverage of tonight's championship game either. Then again, Ryan is on vacation right now, which could have something to do with the lack of coverage. :sssh:

Also a big kudos to the Lloyd staff and administration. This has probably been one of the smoothest ran tournaments I've seen in a few years. All games have started on time, with plenty of time to warm up the players, decent P.A system, nice programs, food for the kids after the games, and best of all, they've actually put some great games and match ups together.

I wouldn't mind seeing Holmes play in this every year.

Some of it also may be that no one called in the scores, Lloyd should be calling the paper ever day asking to send someone out, not sure how many days they have been there. Plus as Eta stated, Ryan may be on vacation.

Ryan Ernst of the Enquirer is on vacation and I'm sure thats part of the problem. He does a tremendous job and we get spoiled at times.

My question for the Lloyd people, who do put on a great tournament, is why do they have this tremendous, expensive, scoreboard and not use the entire thing?

I saw Gallatin play Conner and Holmes last year. I remember they used the entire board in another game, but don't remember which one.

They used it today and tonight
