December 25, 200817 yr The A-10 is average, where have I said otherwise? The top of the A-10 though can usually compete with bigger conference teams. I would submit that the top of the A-10 cannot usually or consistently compete in the better big conference teams. Outside of Xavier, there is not an A-10 team that would consistently finish above .500 in the top power conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big East, Big 12, SEC). A-10 provides a nice, safe ticket for Xavier to make the NCAA tourney and get to 20 wins and I give X credit for scheduling some solid out-of-conference games, but as a whole, the A-10 is weak. Right on par with Conference USA and Horizon - go take a hard look at the "quality" of teams in those conferences.
December 25, 200817 yr Miami is a tough, you know that. They also played Kansas tough in Kansas. Temple is 5-5. They can play good, but are far from a good team.

December 26, 200817 yr Yeah. Exams. That's it... Oh no, obviously that shouldn't be an excuse for them playing bad, but this time of year never seems to help them.:sssh:
December 26, 200817 yr This Xavier team lost some very good players. There is talent there still, but this doesn't surprise me one bit.
