Henderson County 55 Boyle County 54

Boyle loses another one to fall to 0-7. Not a good start for the new coach.

Henderson squeaks by to go to 6-0

It looks like a long year for Boyle Co. if they can't get this turned around quick.

If that's what you want to believe, then fine, believe it. Seeing as how we have had a full team for a little over a week, then that works for me, believe it'll be long year. I want you to underestimate us. Especially in February.

Any details on this game?

I'm not putting the Rebels down, and I know they have some football players getting into basketball shape. But sometimes it's hard to come back if you dig a big early hole.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I have felt all along that it wouldn't be until January when they play their best ball. Records mean nothing come tournament time.

Two of the football players are starters, including the point guard and the team's returning leading scorer, not to mention quality bench players. They are a month and a half behind the rest of the team who has been practicing and learning the new coach's system, and they need to get into basketball shape. If Henderson County is undefeated and we lost to them by a point, I would say more progress is being made with each game, and each practice, but go ahead, underestimate us.

Congrats Henderson

We got in a big hole early with Hendersons press, made a nice come back and grabbed the lead with 30 seconds to go, let it slip away. Worst officiated game I have seen this year. Both ways.

Hard to talk any smack when we are 0-7. I am concerened the new coach will have a hard time with this kind of start. Maybe a win will get their swagger back. Hard to put all the blame on football when we have several kids that did not play football. Some of those kids need to step up and have not. Major disapointment at this point.

Out played Henderson for most of the game. There are 7 "football" players on the basketball team 3 started today and at the 7:34 mark in the 1st quarter, there were 4 "football" players in the game. So, the "football" players do play a big role on the basketball team. In 06-07 season we started 4-9 and were regional runner-up. Don't jump ship yet, everybody stay on board. By the way football season ended 15 days ago at Bell Co. They are all basketball players now. Come down to McCreary tomorow and support the BASKETBALL team.

We haven't lost a district game yet, so honestly I am not worried. I am more of a tournament kind of person myself. I tell my rec league team that I coach, that the regular season is practice games for the tournament. I am not concerned about regular season records. Pulaski Southwestern proved that last year, just like Boyle did in 06-07 when we started 4-9. Not to mention that the only game that we weren't in with a chance to win was the Franklin County game, so the more I think about it, the less worried I become. It's little things that need to be fixed and I fully believe in our coaching staff and our boys to make the necessary adjustments and turn those L's into W's.

strongarmmg, if I didn't have to be at my youngest son's Christmas program then I'd probably be at McCreary. Be safe and see you soon.

What about Boone Goldsmith? What type of factor is he going to be this year? I saw he had 2 the other day.
