Just to clarify a previous post. Scott lost to Ryle by 8. (51-43) Once again a pretty close game throughout. Ryle made free throws down the stretch. It was a battle throughout. Ryle is a very good team and will be very good for years to come with all their youth.

I don't think Ryle was playing with a full roster on that night. Tibbs is really good but I just cannot see them being a regional contender.

I would have to agree. Last year Scott had a player named Brown who was one of their top three players stat wise (along with Tibbs and Berzinger). She is not on the roster this year so I am assuming she graduated. I don't know what they have gained but they were 11-18 last year. Tibbs may be good but one player does not a team make. I guess we'll see as the season progresses.

Kiki Brown graduated last year. And, yes it does take a team to win not 1 or 2 players.

Tibbs is an excellent player but Montgomery Co. has the size to neutralize her, the match up if those two were to play would be at the guard position were Montgomery Co. has Mackenzie Lee. I think you definitely would have to give the edge to Montgomery Co. based upon that and the fact that Montgomery Co. has played in so many big games, it would be something new to Scott High should it get to that point!

Coach Klette does an outstanding job at Scott High and they are blessed with talented players like Tibbs and Benzinger, but Montgomery Co. is the favorites until someone beats them.

I agree Scott isn't even the 2nd best team in the region...I would give that to GRC right now.

We will find out something tonight due to Scott playing GRC at 6:00. I agree Montgomery is on top until somebody knocks them off which will be very hard to do.

I saw Scott, Clark and Montgomey County play this summer. Don't believe Scott is within 10 points of either.

 

They are a strong contender for #2 but Clark (loads of athletic ability but don't always play good fundamental basketball) and Montgomery (always tough) is the cream of the crop right now.

 

Scott needs to beat Campbell before they put their sights on Montgomery.

We will see where they stack tonight, they play at Clark I believe.

GRC 57- Scott 38 Final

 

It was a close game in the first half. GRC 27-Scott 26 at halftime. Scott struggled in the second half. The point guard for GRC had a very good game. (Not sure of her name). Scott has some work to do.
