Final

Cougars get MCHS Boy's basketball win number 800 with this victory!

800-647 record for Cougar Basketball

Morgan trailed 7-0 before Coach Perry calls timeout and the Cougars would then go on a 14-0 run and eventually a 25-5 run before closing the 1st half with a 35-22 lead. The Cougars shot poorly and missed a ton of free throws in the 2nd half to cut the double digit lead in which Raceland would cut to 7 at point I believe.

Congrats to the Cougars (1-1), they will play at home vs. Rose Hill on Tuesday.

Listened to some of this on the radio and it sounded like Raceland shot their self in the foot on this one. The mental mistakes will kill you.

Nice win by MC

Congrats to the Cougars on Win # 800!!

Rams have some work to do, but I'm confident the coaching staff and kids will be hard at work to reach their goals.

Keep working hard guys!!:thumb:

Congrats on win #800 that is a milestone! Who are the better players for Morgan County this year and where do they stand in the region?

Raceland have all their seniors and football players?

Yes I believe Raceland was full strength....Boyles played but I understand he had some ankle issues. He did seem to move better once the game got going than he did early on...he seemed fine...great player.

Morgan Co. probably had every opportunity to blow the game more open but many missed FT (front ends of 1 and 1, etc) prevented the lead from swelling too great.

Morgan is a middle of the pack 16th region team...probably anywhere from the 6-10 ranking in the region.

They are athletic and will guard you...as always. Fairly balanced attack among 7 players. Not an offensive juggernaut but have the ability to shoot it a little better this season than last as a whole. They have several seniors as well.

Congrats to Morgan on the "W".

As cvillecat has already said, Rams......just stay focused and working hard and I have no doubts that things will turn in your direction.

The football players are back in basketball but probably need to get some more of the "football" worked out of them and get in "basketball shape".
