Without Maddox, this team wouldnt be as good as they are. Gallatin looked really young last night and that inexperience could lose some games for them that they shouldnt. Henry just doesnt have anybody who can score consistently. I really thought #4 Spud Baldwin played good last night. He is going to be really good.

Every year Gallatin Co. has a player that gets labeled "OVERRATED". This year it is Zac's turn. A good hard nosed player that any coach in the region would love to have. Team play will make a player seem "OVERRATED" at times.

 

Please don't take offense to my saying he is overrated. I didn't intend it in a mean and negative way. He is a great kid and a good ball player. Just don't think he is a top ten as someone stated he was listed in some paper somewhere. We all know how these list work. It is just some person who has a column and gives his opinion. It isn't necessarily accurate. But I didn't intend to bash him. As I said, he is a good kid, and a good player.:thumb:

That Davis boy is only a freshman, And he can hit from the three every night, He's small but very quick and knows where the ball is at all times,

 

Any other freshman getting any varsity time? Does the Davis boy start? He's been dangerous from the 3 point line for several years now.

Davis is the only Freshman that starts. He hit three three pointer from about 24- 25 feet out, He is was dangerous from three point land

Zac had 9 points, 9 rebounds (team high), 6 steals, (team high), 5 assists (team high) and guarded the player the GC staff viewed as the best scoring weapon in Tillett, and held him to 3 points. Points isn't everything, but I don't know what he needs to do to impress some of you. His team also won by 20+.

Good win for the Wildcats. I like the Jones and Maddox kids, they can play.

Without Maddox they beat Henry by 15 and would still be a contender in the region because Gallatin does what Gallatin does every year, they play team basketball.

Geez, not trying to start a fight, as I respect Gallatin and Coach Jones, I just stated what I feel. I sat in the front row and watched the whole game and I do feel like Jones is overated, I am not saying he is a bad ball player, just not great. Of course I think Maddox is there best, then I like the Davis kid. I dont think Jones would be the best on Henry's team, but thats my opinion. Henry as a team doesn't play with a lot of heart, but I know one thing, Brad Taylor does play with a lt of heart, and I would compare Jones to him.

Oh yeah, I have NEVER seen a team run a set offense as good as any Jones coached Gallatin team. If they are up at halftime by any amount, I would put money on them to close it out with their wheel offense...it truly amazes me to see a young team like they are run that offense to perfection each and every year.
