NCC's 3 biggest players could not play last night. Starting center Jake Ollberding got hurt in the HC game and 2 are still playing football. It was a pretty good game until half. NCC just doesn't have any size right now. They'll be fine.

Agree. I think he only had 8. I think he would have scored more if he didn't try to shoot as many threes and outside shots. I know he had several in the previous game, but I think Boone probably played better perimeter defense and didn't give as many open looks. He has nice hops and size. He and Pangallo seemed to be the only scoring threats and took most of their shots. Conner had a hard time creating his own shot off the dribble, as did Meyer.

I completely agree.

Geisler is a great player, and through the year will only get better.

 

Although, even though Olberding was injured, him playing against Boone still wouldn't help their chances of winning. Boone is just an all around better team.

I agree it wouldn't have changed the outcome much, but Giesler wouldn't have had to work as hard on defense and rest on offense the way he did. Having Ollberding in the middle keeps Giesler more active on offense where they really need him.

unfortunatley being a 6'2 inside man he's going to have to work that hard every game on defense and not worry about offense so much. The points will come out of the offense the coach sets up. NCC has 4 very capable scores that join Giesler on the floor. They'll get there if they run their offense. I would worry more about rebounding and defense than the other end.

If most kids would focus on these things you would see much better games IMO. I get tired of watching kids jack up 3's and not play defense. I hate when I see loose balls and nobody diving for them or nobody battling on the boards and getting physical. Like I said in another thread, you can be a key contributor to your team without even taking a shot. Geisler got the 32 the other night and probably got a ton of confidence. Im sure the rest of the Breds started to look to him as the go to guy. When you are playing a very good team in Boone Co they are going to dog you the entire game. You cant get 32 every night and its going to take everyone on NCC stepping up and filling their roles.

 

I think once they get the footballers atleast they will have all of their role players. Then maybe we will see M.Geisler, Conner and Meyer start scoring more.

Solid win for Boone, but NCC would make this game closer in a few weeks aftert they are full strength
