December 8, 200817 yr They only get draft picks if they decline his option but offer him arbitration and he turns that down. And that's if he has a decent year, if he has a down year then they get nothing because he won't be a Type A or Type B. That's doubtful though.
December 8, 200817 yr Maybe they can get AJ.... Wishful thinking I know. AJ Pierznyski or however you spell it is one of the most hated players in the league. I'll pass.
December 8, 200817 yr Went straight off what traderumors said, also re read the thread title. Right, the thread title still says OFFICIAL though. I'm skeptic when it comes to "Major League Sources" they get a lot of unfounded stuff sometimes.

December 8, 200817 yr Bailey will never be the pitcher we thought because of his attitude in Cincinnati. I think he will figure it out with a change of scenery like Voltron did. The reds really didn't need Bailey because they have Harang, Arroyo, Volquez, Cueto, Owings. This would put the Reds in contention for next year.
December 8, 200817 yr Like Peavy to the Braves? That was supposed to be a sure thing--these things can fall apart with the least complication. Right and that's why i have quit putting faith into these sources...Everyone wants to jump the gun to report stuff and half the time it's wrong. Peavy to the Braves was speculation but was feasible. Bailey for Dye straight up is a joke and no one should have believed it.
December 8, 200817 yr Attitude is the one thing that makes me feel better about this deal. I think I remember several times the past couple of years GT has talked about how his attitude is terrible. I don't mind losing him if that is true. Dye if healthy should be a 40HR guy at GABP. I worry about his range in the outfield after watching Dunn for so long:( The more I've thought about the deal the more I like it.
December 8, 200817 yr ^ I just don't feel the same. I would have rather looked for someone younger, with an upside. It's a hope, that Dye can come in and put up numbers. His best years are behind him. Not that we are going to get much for Bailey, but give me someone younger.
