Many in the region are talking about a Lone Oak-Calloway rematch. I say Lone Oak better take care of business with Allen County. While I think that Lone Oak is very capable of winning this second round game, their defense is gonna have to step it up another notch.

Allen County is a run-oriented team that doesn't seem to be playing as well now as they were at midseason, when they surprised some people by beating Franklin-Simpson and Warren East in back-to-back weeks.

LO's defense showed the ability to step up against two excellent running backs in poor conditions last Friday night. Their defense seems to be improving at the right time. Nonetheless, this game could go either way!

This will be one to watch!

 

After watching both teams at the beginning of the season, I was thoroughly suprised at Allen Co.-Scottsville's running game working so well. At the same time, I was equally impressed that Lone Oak's passing game was still intact even after loosing Robinson last year.

Agree with Redleg, Lone Oak did an outstanding job in the slop last Friday night. The defense has been a little disappointing this year giving up 21 pts a game & has struggle with both the pass & run. Hopefully they will continue to pick it up a notch. I'll say Lone Oak 37 ACS 28

Whoever takes this game will likely play Franklin Simpson. Calloway has a fine team, but FS is playing as well as anyone right now.
