Red Devils advance and will likely have to travel down the Natcher next week. This game wasn't close until the 4th, when it became a nail bitter for a few seconds.

Yorel Shemwell led the Red Devils with 134 yards on 20 carries with 2 touchdowns.

What do you consider close? Scoreless after 1, 8-0 at halftime? Central outright dropped a TD in the second quarter that would have made it 7-0 at that point. Now once it reached the 4th Quarter and Owensboro was up 22-0, then it wasn't really close until Central recovered a Shemwell fumble with 1:50 left.

Sloppy play from both teams as they combined for 7 turnovers.

Your Dragons hung tough with the Red Devils at the Dungeon, Fire! I'm proud of 'em!:D

little closer than I thought. good job O

The Dragon defense had one of their finest efforts of the season. And, it was great to see the players play hard for the duration of the game.

As DFire said, the score was 22-0 in the 4th and WC never packed it in. Great effort to end the year. Now time for the off season and moving toward 09.

Hopefully, we can work out our QB situation for next year and find the yards and scoring to replace Mitchell.

Sorry, I was listening on the radio, while watching UK and UL games on TV. But when one team scores the first 22 pts. IMO thats not close. Seems like OHS shut it down a little to early and let WC back into the game.

I would just say a one score game is a one score game no matter what point it's at. I just have a hard time saying "well it wasn't close until the end" when both teams are having opportunities and it is 8-0 with 5 minutes left in the third quarter. When it's 22-0, no it's no longer close.

The constant rain contributed to most of the turnovers as Shemwell fumbled I know twice when OHS was about to score or the game would have been higher than 22-0 at the time. But WC played well moved the ball early and then had a couple of scores late on TOs that put a little scare into the Devils. So now it is off for that 70 mile treck down the Natcher for those Purples. I do not know the weather forecast but I sure hope it is not raining since I am sick now sitting out in the rain Friday night then froze watching the Cats lose to Vandy on Saturday. My feet are still cold!!!

Let me guess, I bet #75 for Warren Central played the whole game on defense for once.
