They start at 5:00 PM and it usually lasts about 4 1/2 hours. It involves all the players/teams from the elementary through high school. In addition, the cheerleaders are introduced, the band members, dance team, even the clogging team which is sometimes used as halftime entertainment.

 

It is used as a fund raiser, and a running clock is used...10 minutes for elementary and I think 15 for the high school teams.

 

It is a long night, but since Owsley County has only 2 schools (Owsley County Elementary grades K-6) and Owsley County High/ Junior High (grades 7-12), it's a great way for the fans, family, and friends, to see all the programs for the upcoming season. No one seems to complain about the time issue.

Yes they do. Owsley, Powell, Cordia and Magoffin Counties are playing in the PRTC Classic Panorama. PRTC has sponsored this for several years now.

I wasn't there but I heard Powell beat Cordia by around 8 or 10 points. Magoffin beat Owsley by about the same amount. They took the score off the board after each quarter, so the person I was talking to was adding the totals he had wriiten down.

Owsley was on there way to the top with Doug Noble now Owsley will have a hard time going anywhere.:scared:

Really and truly the best thing Owsley could have done was to get rid of doug noble my cousin coached two games against him last year and he did not have a clue what was going on at anytime during the games. Look out Breathitt County. Great news for Owsley.
