Rush was talking about this today and he said that CNN had investigated this and discredited much of what was reported. I haven't researched it yet so I can't say for sure.

I think Palin actually gave a boost to the campaign.

The economy defeated McCain. And Bush didn't help either..

 

MCCain was ahead in the majority of the polls on September 15th, the day Lehman Brothers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Then the economic fallout followed. Soon afterwards Obama was back in the lead in the polls.

 

The economy beat McCain, not Palin.

Last night, Dick Morris made the claim that McCain/Palin drew 5% more white women voters than Bush did in 2004. 11% more white male voters.

 

If that is accurate, I would think that her job was to attract women and it was successful rather than a failure.
