November 3, 200817 yr Author This part is tasteless and certainly not funny. That I would say is a matter of opinion. Seems to me that others found it hilarious as did I. Maybe some shouldn't take themselves so seriously and recognize a joke when they see it. Don't try and make something out of it other than what it was.......a joke. Typical liberal response imo, as the old saying goes, they can dish it out (critisizm) but cannot take it. Any point of view other than the far left is wrong, no opposing opinions allowed, lol. Seems like some are just a little to sensitive, what is bad is ones that want to make something more of it than what it is.

I speak for myself, not for anyone else. You (or whoever) may label me as a liberal, but I'm a moderate. I thought that majority of it was funny. The part I bolded was tasteless and was not. As for the dishing out criticism, but not being able to take it, who have I done this to? As far as making it out to be more than what it is, since you didn't write it, how do you know what the intent of the author was?

Stop lying to yourself, you will sleep better.

Never mind, I should have known better than to come over here again. I am glad that others found this funny as I did ad saw it and took it for what it was. This response is imo a perfect example of imo some of the over sensitive liberal spin or attempted spin that takes place. Again, it was a joke that was sent to me that I found to be hilarious and thought that others would as well (and they did). I could get into other things on here that I think are "tasteless" or "classless" and cetainly aren't funny but I won't. Should your man Barock Hussein Obama win then being an American that loves my country that I am, I certainly will pray that I am wrong about him and what his true agenda is and that he will be good for the country. Everything and everyone that he has associated himself with though points to me being right though. BTW, is jmo but if you are a moderate then you are the most liberal moderate that I have ever encountered. (yes, that was joke as well whether or not you find it funny or want or call it something else ......:walk::walk:) I will leave this forum with on last thought before this election................. McCain / Palin 08'
November 3, 200817 yr If your voting for Obama you are NO WHERE CLOSE to a moderate. Stop lying to yourself, you will sleep better. Ridiculous judgement. But hey...if it makes you feel better, go ahead. FWIW, I have not mentioned who I am voting for. I certainly don't subscribe to the "Obama is the anti-Christ/socialist/terrorist" mentality though.

McCain / Palin 08' You'll be back. You always are. You've made this claim at least three times in the past several months. You have as much right to be in any forum as anyone else. I certainly probably seem liberal compared to those on here that stand to the extreme right. Again, I am not doubting your intentions in posting. I am doubting the poor word choice/intentions of the "poet". Neither you nor I know what those intentions are. For the record, both Barack Obama and John McCain are "my man."

I certainly don't subscribe to the "Obama is the anti-Christ/socialist/terrorist" mentality though. I don't either. I think he will be the worst President in history and it will take until my grandchildren have kids to fix it if he is elected, some will never be fixed.
November 3, 200817 yr This imo pretty much sums it all up.........:thumb: Twas The Night Before The Elections 'Twas the night before elections And all through the town Tempers were flaring Emotions all up and down! I, in my bathrobe With a cat in my lap Had cut off the TV Tired of political crap. When all of a sudden There arose such a noise I peered out of my window Saw Obama and his boys They had come for my wallet They wanted my pay To give to the others Who had not worked a day! He snatched up my money And quick as a wink Jumped back on his bandwagon As I gagged from the stink He then rallied his henchmen Who were pulling his cart I could tell they were out To tear my country apart! ' On Fannie, on Freddie, On Biden and Ayers! On Acorn, On Pelosi' He screamed at the pairs! They took off for his cause And as he flew out of sight I heard him laugh at the nation Who wouldn't stand up and fight! So I leave you to think On this one final note- IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM GET OUT AND VOTE!!!! This part is tasteless and certainly not funny. How bout if we change it to say "To go buy Michelle a mink" Does that make you feel better.:thumb: For the record, I like the original. I'm just trying to be "politically correct"
