Highlands finished 21-10 last year. What must they do to get to the top of the region?

Mostly mature as a team. Mostly sophs last year, they will undoubtedly be better just by having another year under them. X and Os wise I see them moving Allen to 2 guard with Conner running the point. Mal Adler will be a big contibutor. Lot of depth with Messmer, McMahon, Cutter, Horner, Macke. And last but not least Bekaw Towles contolling the paint. Lady Birds are lined up to have a really big year. :banana:

You well may be right, but we have been hearing how good they were going be for 3 years now, were going to win multiple regional titles, and one overly oppomistic person even predicted state titles. An apperance in the region finals would be a good place to start.

This will be their year to get to the state tourney. They are solid in all aspects of the game and have an outstanding coaching staff.

Lets take a look at the last couple of years. 2 years ago, Senior center Shayna Crowley goes down in the 1st game with a knee. Injuries happen, but that was devestating for the otherwise frosh led Birds. Last year, the soph led team, had a good season, but I believe the lack of upper class leadership hurt them in the Regionals. Now with some good seniors and a great Junior class, all having Varsity experience, this should shake out to be a very good year for the LadyBirds. I am not predicting anything other than a fun and exciting season for these girls.
