I watched all the games. The umpiring was consistent. Consistently horrible. They made bad call after bad call and it went both ways not just for the Phils. I think more were in favor of the Phils but it was terrible all series.

I would say that the strike call on the check swing last night was a bad call. Not only was it a bad call, but he did not allow the appeal to happen. The home plate umpire should have appealed to the 3rd base umpire.

Yep...I thought it was a check swing from the live view of it. They, coincidentally, didn't appeal, nor did they have the side angle replay that they have every other time too.

I agree. At the least the plate umpire should have asked for help. I thought it was huge. Overall the umpiring was very dissapointing. The number of missed calls was unusual, especially on such a big stage. It seems if a player makes a mistake, the player and their team pay for it. If an umpire makes a mistake, the player and team again pay for it. The umpires are untouchable, they either admit the mistake and move on, or fail to admit their mistake and move on. Either way they move on while the player and team pay for it. There needs to be more accountability with officials in all sports at all levels, especially after the fiasco the NBA has went through with cheating officials.
