The Lewis Co. program is really struggling. I understand they have a new coach, but the have to be nearly last in the state in scoring. Obviously they are struggling at the high school level, but they must start to develop players and find a way to keep kids interested at the elementary and middle school level if they want to get any better.

There has always been interest at the elementary and middle school level. The numbers fall at the high school level. These boys are having a rough time right now, the numbers are falling and there are lots of questions not being answered.

Not the kind of stat I like to look at, but FWIW, there are others in worse shape than Lewis County's 65 points scored this season:

 

1A - Bishop Brossart - 40 points

2A - Leslie Co - 54 points

3A - Webster - 52

4A - Atherton - 55, Breckinridge - 40

5A - Waggoner - 62

 

Good luck to Lewis and these other struggling programs...I sincerely hope things get turned around.
