Nate Rawe is as solid as they come player and person. Nate will probably be the SS. He was sort of a utility man last year but should anchor the middle with Connor this year.

Logan Ferrara isn't playing?? That kid was an absolute HOOVER at SS in Knothole! Ben Paar was a fine player, too!!

Logan's a track star now, getting some looks from Morehead and others. With that said though, he could help the baseball team with his great speed and bat.

1B Giesler

2nd Connor(easier on his arm he's the ace)

SS Rawe(solid infielder)

3rd Meyer(possibly arm strength an issue can play 2nd when Connor pitches)

OF Kelly (plus he's as good as any catcher around)

OF Grosser

OF ???

Catcher Chris Kelly (Soph but he can play)

It will be interesting to see if Mark Kelly is going to want to catch or let his little brother compete with Lohr for the job. It's nice to have so much depth, all are good catchers.

Mark is best suited in the OF. Should keep him fresher as the season goes

I would like to see him catch some though, he has a very strong arm that would keep runners from stealing; like Pabst did last year.

So will Chris. I do believe they will be best suited with Mark's glove in the field. Chris can phyiscally handle the demands of catching a full season, where Mark would maintain best in the field

That may have sounded like a disrespect to Mark, which in no way was it. He can do a lot for this team, and would be better utilized where his arm can cut down advancing runners. Chris will do just as well as Mark could have behind the plate

Chris Kelly will be a key addition and will start at any of three positions, C, 3B, OF. This team is loaded with Super Soph's who can play at the Varsity Level. Jake Cain will step into any one of three positions, SS, 3B or OF. He will also be a key pitcher who can throw in the low 80's. Brennon Daunt who has gotten snaps playing Varisty football this year has matured tremendously and could pres for playing time. Brady Gray, Shawn Muphy and Luke Schmits will press for playing time if not compete for starting positions.

I hear NCC has a ton of seniors and juniors. They will be top heavy to say the least. They do have a super sophomore class and some very gifted juniors. Sophs are not ready for varsity baseball. Chris Kelly may be the only one. Huge jump from freshmen baseball to Varsity. Their JV team should be loaded. The removed coach surely didnt expect to be asked back when all he did was talk behind the head coaches back and bad mouth him everyday. You dont need people like that in your program influencing the players.

Hmmm, there are a lot of these same Sophomores taking upperclassmen spots on the football team......

Id say something like this..

1B-Giesler

2B-Rawe

SS-Conner

3B-Young

Of-Grosser

Of-Kelly

Of-?

C-? Not sure, I know they lost Pabst, and I know Kelly used to play catcher..

Don't forget about little brother Chris Kelly. Good catcher, strong arm although from time to time a little unpredictable, good bat.

I believe the Enzweiler kid is back as well. Several good pitchers coming up as well, Daunt and Doyle (sophomores), as well as Sean Meyer (junior).

Who leads off?

1b-Matthew Johnson

2b-Nate Rawe

SS-Connor

3b-Possibly Young.

CF-Grosser

RF-M. Kelly

LF-Maybe giesler, possibly a jr.

C-most likely Chris Kelly, great player.

^All seniors cept C.Kelly

Although it looks as if many juniors will be playing Jv this year. lol. Dont think any juniors could have a chance taking any of these senior spots.

The Batting line up will be looking something like..

Nate Rawe

Connor

Grosser

Kelly

Giesler

C. Kelly

M. Johnson

Young

doesn't make much sense putting your number 1 pitcher at SS??? Gielser in the OF ????

It doesn't make much sense at all, but he's most probably the best infielder also. Shouldn't go to waste. And unless a jr steps up for LF, Giesler is the only kid that has the arm. Certainly not the speed though.

arm doesn't matter if he can't get to it?

True, but who else would replace him? No junior has the arm to make the throw. Plus Grosser has the speed to make up for Giesler ;)
