First half was a good hard hitting half. It was 20-6 at half a 14 point spread just like last year. KC had a INT for a TD in the 1st half and MC was inside the 10yard line and turned it over on downs so it was even a little closer played half than the score indicated. KC has a very good team and I make no excuses for MC they were just out played for 48 min. As for Watts, I talked to the head coach after the game and he said that Watts aggravated an old injury on a defensive hit and it was his (the coaches) decision to sit Watts the 2nd half because he didn't want him to injure it furthur. He should be ready to play next week! Good luck to both of these teams the rest of the season.

Any predictions on the Bell and McCreary game after seeing KC take on MC?

McCreary will beat Bell by 10 touchdowns!

Everyone knows Bell is at the top of the 4-A mountain and MC is just trying to climb the hill. I can guarantee that MC will come to play but that is the attitude that helps a team get better week in and week out as well as making gains from one year to the next. If everyone out there thinks that KC is a 48 point better team than MC then that will be to MC's favor. KC is very good and definately was abetter team Friday night and they definately won by 48 points and I would even say they would probably win aginst MC this year in any situation. But, I will again say: if anyone thinks that KC is a 48 point better team than MC that will play out to MC's favor!

I think Knox Central is more than 48 points better than McCreary. If they had played all their starters the whole game it would have been 100-0.

I would say that Knox is a better team than MC at this point but I would also say this, they ARE very beatable just like everyother team that puts the pads on every Friday night so lets stay level headed here.

McCreary started subing halfway through the 3rd quarter and KC didn't put their subs in until the 4th quarter. McCreary made the decision not to let Watts play the 2nd half to make sure he didn't do further damage to his injury. They took Roark out after the 1st offensive series and then started replacing each of the starters one by one after that. The 3rd string quarterback played most of the 4th quarter. The head coach told me that KC was in control of the game at that point and he made the decision not to take a chance on any more injuries to his starters because the Madison So. game was very important to the playoff picture. Everyone is allowed to have their opinion but the first half of this game proves yours to be wrong. MC had a hard time with the 2 great backs from KC but they made them work for everything they got and you take away the INT for a TD and if MC scored when they drove it inside the 10 yard line then the score at half would have been 14-14. So to say KC could have scored 100 on MC is way out their IMO. Anyway, KC earned the victory and they definately owned the night and I wish them luck the rest of the year. However, I do hope Madison Southern thinks just like you do because that will be to MC's favor.:ylsuper:

Madison Southern will be a better game for McCreary for sure. They are just not in Knox Centrals league at this point. Any rumblings of potential problems in the admins over at McCreary? I keep hearing some changes are coming.

How far up are you talking? I don't get around the school system people much except for the FB coaches during FB season but their might be a few things flying around the rumor mill at the old barber shop! If you have any specific questions I will try to answer them or find the answer for them. If you don't want to ask them on the forum Dreamland then you can private message me!:ylsuper:

Clinton Gay won't be the head man at McCreary next season.

That's funny, there is nothing going around here saying that. Gay's 1st season was 5-5, his 2nd season he led the Raiders to the playoffs for the 1st time in the schools history and they are 2-1 right know with a very good possibility of being 5-5 or 6-4 and having a repeat appearence in the playoffs. Seems like it would be hard to get rid of a coach when he has improved the program like that. Unless you have heard of him saying he is leaving? McCreary central dosen't seem like the kind who fires coaches. what I mean is the B-ball program has been picked to win the district 2 years in a row and has been ranked as high as 2nd in the region only to be put out of the tournament the 1st game both years and if I am not mistaken their head basketball coach is still the same. Factoring in all of that plus MC's history of keeping coaches seems like Coach Gay should be receiving high praise for his accompishments with the football team! Unless you have some information for us SSF?:ylsuper:

They've went through several football coaches one some of whom seemed to poor their heart and soul in to the job. Unfortunately the coach I'm thinking of suffered because the talent wasn't their during their time in charge.

Yes, actually I do Bronco. I have spoken to Gay many times and he considered retiring last year and not coaching this season. You're not the only one around here with McCreary ties.

McCreary won't fire Gay, and I never said they would. However, they have fired coaches before. Including the coach prior to Gay.

Gay will most likely retire after this season.
