I think the Lawrence County faithfull will agree that this is almost as good as a win at this point. Belfry is no joke. To do this well against Belfry in any senario causes me alittle concern as a Boyd County fan, also gets me pretty excited in anticipation for our match up. Congrats to Belfry on the win, and to Lawrence County for earning some respect in spite of the loss. I'll have to keep a closer eye on their development.

There were several games in the area I wanted to attend and this was one of them. The LC vs. BC match-up will be one of those games too.

Heard the halftime score of this one (7-7) announced during the break at P-burg/Breathitt Co.. I was amazed and tickled pink !!

 

Props to Belfry on the W, but it's great to see Lawrence Co. playing good football again !

 

Next week's game at Sheldon Clark and the next vs. P-burg may be very entertaining games.

Sounded like Lawrence o-line controlled the LOS pretty much at will and Belfry tackled poorly.

 

Is anyone concerned about the lack of size up front on defense for Belfry? Holy Cross even controlled the LOS for the first 12 minutes against Belfry.

 

I know it is early, but lack of size and strength doesn't seem like something that you can hope for much improvement upon.

Just to add to my above post. Its not like Belfry has NO size. Whetstone, Blackburn, Cisco, etc only play offense correct?

 

I like playing as few of guys possible both ways, but seems like their MAY need to be some adjustments made down the road.

 

Just offering some constructive input as GURU likes so much... Would love to hear others comments.
