Since I moved away from Kentucky in March I'm not able to hunt big game here until next year which is heart breaking to me. Next year I'm putting in for Elk, Mule deer and Grizzly Bear. There ain't no Whitetail in wyoming.

Don't tell Stan Potts or the Drury Brothers that. They kill them there about every year.

I don't know how many watch their show but when ever you see them hunting in Kentucky it is on their lease in Union County outside of Sturgis. Many other hunting shows film hunts their as well including Road Trips, Realtree Outdoors, Bass Pro's show, North American Whitetail, Hunters Specialties, and probalby some others I can't think of.

The property that TC leases and operates under the name of Game Trails is owned by Kimball International. Well this is your chance to grab up that property. Kimball is selling 27,000+ acres of their property at auction in Nov including property in Ky and IN. Included in this sell will be the 11,700 acres in Union/Crittenden Co's leased by TC. I can see it now...next on the outdoor channel cvillecat's game trails. If you one of you guys will buy it I will be more then happy to help you hunt it. It can be like both of ours.

This buck is coming to my feeder everyday. There are 2 larger bucks using the same feeder after dark. I have them in Video format but can't get it to load up. Does anyone know how I can load short video clips?

I certainly have saw this show. M. Waddell's Road Trips, the Hunter Specialties and Mossy Oak's "Huning the Country" are my favorites. Waddell aways has an awesome show.

 I like the way you think.

I am hoping Spindoc or Oldrambler read this, chip in their pocket change and help close the deal on this property. I'm sure that we could convince them to include our names on the deed and give us free range of the property the 2nd week of November;)

^ Pocket change.........I have about .35 cents and I may get that $20 dollar bill laying on the coffee table (if I get it before mrs. rambler beats me to it). That makes $20.35, surely spindoc can come up with the rest.

What color did you say your truck was?:

Opening morning produced zero results. I didn't see any deer but it sure felt great to get out and enjoy the 2nd greatest sport in the world. ( hunting ol' three toes in # 1 in my book)

Looking forward to Monday morning and hopefully a chance to bring home some fresh backstrap.

PS..... I did see two 8pt. skeeters who enjoyed a supersize meal all morning:D

I wanted to go so bad but have been fighting a cough for about 6 days. Didn't think I would see much coughing every 30 seconds. Hopefully the weather will be cool next weekend.

If this is you land I think I would let him walk this year and start pouring the Lucky Buck to him and a food plot.

I am getting pumped. The weather is finally cooling off and we just found out we are getting another 150 acres added to our lease. Most of it is field but about 50-60 additional acres of woods.

:thumb: The change in weather & the days getting shorter should have the does mixing their love potion. (My neck is beginning to swell)

I have yet to see the first buck and all slickheads have had fawns with them so I have not pulled the string on anything.

Congrats on the added addition of property, which part do I get to hunt?

I am not real sure it did any good to start the season as early as they have. Most years it's been so dang hot most haven't even gone. Deer aren't moving worth a crap and the bugs will pack you off.

I think the only advantage the early season gives is that it gives a hunter the chance to harvest a buck in velvet. It also gives me an excuse to be in the woods.

The morning temps have been bearable but you are right on the skeeters, they are out in full force (ticks also) but if they carry me off they will have to borrow some of Barry Bonds' miracle cream.

With the lack of rain, deer in the area I have hunted are near water sources and green fields. The evening hours may the best time to hunt this time of year. I may try that this week and see what happens.
