Congratulations to the Hounds on a great effort. Tiion Thomas is a very good player. In 8 quarters over the past two years, he has gotten loose on us twice- I can live with that.

 

Coach Everage is doing a great job with the kids. The football is good, he cares about kids, he is a good person. He had a very good gameplan for us that showed he understood us, our defense, our offense, how we play, etc. The best coaches we play take the things we do well and try to use them against us- he tried to do that.

 

It is my understanding the Hounds have a very good 8th grade class. I hope all those guys hang in there together- it is special to be a Paris Greyhound.

 

We (the Royals) played alot of young/inexperienced kids last night, completely new offensive line, and they played very hard. I am very proud of them. Those guys, and those before them, have made it special to be a Mason County Royal as well.

 

They have an 8th grader that could probably start alongside Thomas right now in the backfield if it was legal. I believe the name is Hopkins. He is bigger than 50 percent of their varsity guys.

Thanks for the info Chief :thumb:. Paris has always had athletes there but have had problems in other areas over the last several years I believe. I believe that they may be a handful for anyoe in our district.

Back to this game though, good luck to both teams the rest of the way out and Chief.......... you were complementing the new Paris coach. That shows class and imo Mason Co. has an excellent coach with a lot of class as well .

Good game Coach B. I knew you would have the boys ready especially defensively. Good start for all new offensive line in that Thompson ran up 175 yds. I figured you would mainly run the ball while Neal gains more experience. I had it 21-18. Did you kick 2 field goals or did you miss PAT? It is good to see Mason throw for more yardage this year than they did last year against Paris. I believe it was 105 yards this year as compared to 55 yard the year before. Good win for the Royals...........Good luck the rest of the season. Keep being the class act that you are Chief Smoke!

Why is it good to see Mason throw for more yardage this year than last year??? How many interceptions were there last year vs. Paris???? Didn't have to throw when we could run??? What is your post trying to say?????:confused:
