My opinion, Rogers is not 6-5, probably right at 6-4 and Pervis is more like 6-6. As I said closer, and in reality not a lot of difference in the previous height statement. I have seen a lot of programs with questionable measurements.

From my understanding they have both grown over the summer so maybe that is what they were last year.... you may be right just going by what I've heard. :thumb:

I agree it is loaded and this is where most of our height comes from.

Zollo 6'9

Pervis 6'8

Rogers 6'8

Daniels 6'8

Also we have a Freshman...Andrew that is 6'11

I agree...that is our goal. I am really excited about this team this year. Great chemistry among all of the players, talent, and great coaching staff. :thumb:

Come on Gold. These guys are tall, but not that tall except Zollo is 6'8". I stood beside them and talked with them all summer at AAU competetion. Unless some of them have grown 2 or 3 inches in the last 60 days?? Don't get me wrong, they are tall, talented, and very good kids. I have GRC and Elliott in a tie for the #3 pre-season ranking behind Scott County and Holmes.

I was impressed with all those outstanding sophomores in Summer play.

A friend of mine told me that GRC will be playing Elliott in the Russell Panorama. That will be a good matchup to see in the preseason.

I'd say 6'8" is very generous 6'4" to 6'6" range on these kids is closer to the truth. GRC will have a lot of heighth and a future Wildcat to boot. The Andrew freshman is 6'11" but is "talent challenged" in a lot of areas of his game.

I agree with you isthatallyougot, that is very generous.

Didn't know that I was going to get so many posts on just their height.... The fact is that they have grown this past summer and will be one of the tallest teams in the state.

Also heard that the Scott Co game was going to be on TV. As of now it is still at Scott Co. They are trying to work it out where it will be played at Memorial. The date now is Dec. 18th....this may change too. Will be one of the biggest matchups of the season.

That will be a great one for sure.

I agree, 6'8" or 6'5"..who cares, either is bigger than most they will face.

Will that game involve the most transfers in the history of KY high school basketball?

Zollo 6'8-6'9

Pervis 6'7

Daniels 6'6

Rogers 6'5

Nice article on Vinny by Larry Vaught of the Danville paper:

Zollo settles in at Clark

By Larry Vaught/Danville Advocate Messenger

Kentucky basketball recruit Vinny Zollo says he expects to be fully recovered from the broken leg he suffered in early June in a couple of weeks.

He’s already running, shooting and working out daily to make sure he’s back

He likes his new school and says he’s taking “a lot of tough college classes” to prepare him for UK. Adjusting to a school with almost 2,000 students has been different.

Zollo thinks his new team will be solid this year. George Rogers Clark will have five sophomores 6-3 or taller.

“We are going to be really deep and really big,” he said. “I think we will have good team chemistry, too. Being this young, we have good seniors to lead us and we all get along well off the court. I really think we can make a run at the state (title) this year.”

I can't wait to see how well he also adjust to Kentucky style basketball. Expectations will be huge on this kid and the spotlight will always be on, looks like its a year of adjustments for the kid. Hopefully he can live up to the hipe as Clark County hasn't tipped the ball in the air yet and the faithful on here are putting uncanny pressure with their thoughts. Best of luck to a young team, sounds like a good recipie.

Sure your going to get post on these type of things, your Clark County and you brought it forth. Clark County from their faithful has thrown out rankings, top player in the state, best team in the region, so yes this(the height) is just another topic for discussion and on paper I said it looks different than in person. Just responding to something that you posted and I am glad that I surprised you a little.
