It's funny you want to say that he doesn't pass and then then turn around and say he has a turn over problem. You said small school don't always put 5 top players on the floor, and the point guard will get charged for turn overs when kid don't catch the ball or more offensively. I'm not saying they are not good player, but small school have so many different level of players on the floor. But lets get back to the real story here. If you think Bryan only want to get his points you don't know him at all.

 

Another question to you all, would Love at Villa and Villa be better off with out him last year? Love was only about 30 points away on the year from Bryan (I believe that was 3 or 4 in NKY). If Bryan always had the ball and shooting how did Love get so many points.

 

And wow Villa must be pulling in the bucks at the games last year. With all you following them and knowing how Bryan did at every game.

Bryan does have a turnover problem and it will be very difficult to correct, given the level of his frustration. He is a very one-sided player who was overshadowed by Stephen Love last year, who by the way was outstanding and will be very missed at Villa.

 

Now, lets get back to the REAL story on hand. Why is an 18 year old (legal adult) playing as a JUNIOR on a high school basketball team?

I also find it quite funny that high school players (such as yourself) spend all this time talking about themselves on this site and get so much enjoyment out of it.

I saw Bryan play a few times this summer and he is a pretty complete player. Since he does not have much around him, he can't look to pass as much. When a pass is open, and it will create positive things, there is no doubt in my mind that he will give the ball up when he needs to. As far as a turn over problem, I didn't notice it. Romes I believe will win the POY just because he has a supporting cast around him, so the negative sides of his game won't be shown as much just because he doesn't have to try to do everything on his own. Either way, both are two very good players and I am sure it will be enjoyable watching both play this year.

I'm not exactly sure a supporting cast is all that important. A player who can make the whole team better is what a POY or MVP is. Corey Pelle didn't have a great supporting cast and he still put up incredible numbers across the board. In some ways, a supporting cast can hurt you more than help you.

Very valid point :laugh:.. If you have a pretty good supporting cast it will actually take away from your POY votes because you wouldn't seem as valuable..

Agree, but I still think Romes is the frontrunner for D III player of the year this year. Bryan will be the front-runner next year. I still don't see Bryan as a top 10 player in Northern Kentucky yet (all classes). Maybe next year.

Both are very good players and will get recognition in the Region as they deserve. Bryan will probably drop 25+ points a game this year and will lead the region in scoring this year, so will be hard not to name him POY for D III.

I think its hard to name a sub .500 team player POY, but he probably will lead the region in scoring.
